Scholars are matched with senior mentors based on research interests and work on frontier ML problems — efficiency, multilingual AI, safety, and more — with the goal of producing published papers or open-source code. Unlike the separate Cohere research internship (which requires a PhD), this program is explicitly designed for aspiring researchers who lack publications or formal research credentials.
