13-week internship (full or part-time) working directly with Perplexity's AI Inference team in London. The Inference team runs the models behind Perplexity's products — maintaining the serving stack from GPU kernels to networking for models ranging from single-node embeddings to distributed sparse Mixture-of-Experts. Interns work on improving serving latency and throughput, supporting new model deployments, and optimizing the full inference stack. Outstanding performers may receive a full-time offer. Must be a UK-enrolled MSc/PhD student in the 2025-2026 academic year. No visa sponsorship — student visa holders must seek approval from their university.
